A lot has happened this last month. It’s not so great, if not sad and depressing. I guess I’ll start from the beginning; my brain works better if it’s in chronological order.

In my last journal, I said I finally go my internet working again. Well, guess what? No, the internet provider isn’t being stupid… yet. Well, my air conditioner broke – in the heat of summer… the very next day after I fixed my internet connection. Great. So my mom and I ran around for two days, found a new air conditioner, opened up our dinning room window, shoved into said window, as it sets on top of our broken dish washer. Lovely. At leas the house is cooler.

Then, on July 30th, Darrell – the dad of two of my cousins Charlie and Tiffany, died. We knew he wasn’t doing very well. When that man doesn’t want to drink his beer, we knew he was very sick, because he loved his beer. And what’s even worse – the funeral was on August 5th; which is my cousin Tiffany’s birthday. What a birthday present!!!!

Also, it’s best not to talk about the family reunion I went to from August 6th – 9th. I’m not going to get into talking about THAT mess. -_-

Not only that, but when I came home from that disaster, I found that my beloved kitty Cuddles was very sick. I knew she wasn’t doing very well; she had lost a lot of weight, and a few days before my trip she wasn’t eating. Two of my neighbors, Nick and Margaret, had found her under Nick’s car when he let his dogs out. They both thought she was dead. Well, luckily she was still alive, but only just. She could hardly move, and when she did, it was only to get a little water.

When I woke up on Tuesday morning, the 11th, I found her under my dresser, dead.



I can still hear her weak and sad meows, they’ll always haunt me. ;_;

What is worse is that I knew she was old – 16, so there was nothing I could do.

I’ll make a memorial and put it on DA, so you can all see my pretty kitty before she died. :S

So don’t even ******* ask me about my search for a job or my hopes for college. Don’t start with me! >_<

10 things you should know about me

1. Most people would tell you that I’m shy or even antisocial – and I guess I am. I’ve always had trouble expressing myself verbally to others; the words get stuck, so I much prefer writing a letter because it lets me collect my thoughts. Not only that, but I also have problems pronouncing some words, and I don’t want to sound stupid or uneducated. Besides, I figure if someone really wants to talk to me, they’ll come and find me.

2. I’ve always loved history, even before I started school. I remember wanting to dig up Dinosaur bones and put them together. That eventually led to my love of Egyptology because finding mummies was a lot like finding fossils. Then one thing led to another…

3. I would just love to travel the world and see what is out there – maybe even move somewhere else. I have a bad case of wanderlust!

4. Before I’ve even started school, I loved to sing. When my Elementary stated its first Choir when I was eight years old, guess who was the first to sign up? (FYI: I remember thinking to myself at that age as we learned about composers: “I wonder if Handel was married.” So I’ve always been crazy about Handel. )

5. I really love to read, it’s my favorite pastime. My mom gave up on sending me to my room because “that’s where the books are.” ^^

6. I love to be in nature, especially if I’m by myself. I find nature to be very therapeutic. I just wish it would be spring all the time though.

7. I’m more of a thinking kind of person than a “working” kind of person. Like - I’d rather read a book than mow the lawn. It’s not so much that I’m lazy; I just rather use my brain than do manual labor.

8. I’m a very spiritual person, and I’m always doing what I can to improve that part of my life and my connection with God. But I also respect other people’s beliefs, as long as they respect mine.

9. I would like to write a book someday, but I’m not sure what about yet. Maybe something with history or music. Although I need to improve my writing first.

10. Math is a hard subject for me, and I’ve almost always struggled with it. If math wasn’t such a hard topic for me, I’d probably be more willing to go to college.

Final Update (maybe): Okay, so I now have internet access again! But for how long?

Long story short, we still use the same provider but we upgraded to a new version of it and now everything is suppose to work. So they say.

Let’s cross our fingers.

I also want to apologize if I sounded too whiney. I’ve been really stressed with everything, and the internet issues did not help. Hopefully things in my life will get better soon.



Update: Okay, maybe not yet. She was going to call, but by time we got home from shopping, she didn’t have any energy to call.
She also wanted a copy of her bank statement so she knew how much money they took out so she could ask for a refund, and we didn’t get it yet. So I understand.

So within the next week or so this WILL happen, just not quite yet. Most likely within the next few days though.

I also want to mention that I won’t be totally without internet access. I could either go to my grandma’s, uncles, dads, or even at the public library or my university. So I may come on every so often and talk when I can. But until I say otherwise, I don’t have access on my own computer. I just thought I should mention that.


Original Entry: My mother has told me that tomorrow she is going to call our internet provider and tell them to shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. >_<

So this means I won’t be online for some time again. For how long, I don’t know. Maybe for a few weeks, maybe even over a month. No clue.

I have thought about turning off all my updates, but I wont in the event that my internet provider gets their heads out of their rears and finally allows us access like it should.
I will update this journal if our account finally works; otherwise, consider me taking a kind of “vacation”.

YES! I was GONE!!! As some of you may have noticed!

Look, I didn’t mean to be gone!

I’m so angry!!!!!!!! Okay… my internet access provider is so stupid!!!!!!!! It wouldn’t let me online! The only reason I can get on now is that I’m using my grandma’s account. I really don’t want to talk about it.
I’m so changing my internet provider!

Over two weeks… -_-

I’m annoyed with all the updates I have to go through. There are always things I have to go through every day… but now there are over two weeks worth!! This is going to take time! I’m sorry about that.

Ah… seeing that it’s my account that is the problem and not my PC, my mom is going to cancel our account and switch to… something else. So I may be offline again sometime in the future. I just thought I’d let you all know.

Today is my 21st birthday!

I’ve had a nice day, although somewhat boring, considering that it’s my 21st b-day. No booze or gambling because of my schedule, but it was nice anyway, I’m not complaining.

On Friday, my mom, grandmother, uncle and I went out for breakfast. I got a strawberry shake that my mom and uncle kept trying to steal from me.

After that we all went to grandma’s house to open presents. I got a Barnes and Noble bag that can hold up to 50 pounds , some cute stuffed animals, a new wallet, among other things. ^^

We didn’t have cake, because grandma made us a cake the day before and had sent us home with us. But is sure was good! Chocolate and vanilla marble cake. ^_^ Just finished it today.

Today, though, I really couldn’t do too much. See, my mom works weird hours at Wal-Mart, so she is asleep most of the day, and that includes Sunday. But the two of us did go out for breakfast.

After that, we came home and I opened presents! I got some Skittles, Starbucks coffie, clothing, Disney’s Mulan on DVD, a book called “Clues for Real Life: The Wit and Wisdom of Nancy Drew,” and another book called “Contrary {to Popular Belief}” that tells the facts about certain things.
But there is one thing I loved the most. It’s a tanzanite ring! It’s rarer and more valuable than a diamond. I love it!!!!
My mom also says that the movies, CD, and scanner that I mentioned in my last journal are also early b-day gifts. ^^

Later today I also spent some time with my dad and step-mom, which was okay. We got some takeout – that one thing from Dominos where it’s like a pizza bowl thing, which was very good. He also gave me a card with some money and a religious CD. My church also sends out b-day cards, so he brought that by too. ^^

I also got a few other things, but that’s about it!

But I also can’t forget the lovely gifts from people here on DA!

That’s about it. My mom says she owes me some sort of vacation, we may go to a city around here called Wendover (sp?) to spend the night and gamble. Some other family members may come as well. We’ll see when that happens.
